Even though summer is still in full swing, school will be back in session before we know it. Getting a head start on preparing kids for the new school year is always a smart idea, especially when it comes to their health.  

Part I of OurHealth magazine’s four-part series – When I Grow Up, I’m Going to Work in Healthcare: A Step-by-Step Guide to Pursuing a Career in Medicine – examined how students can begin preparing for a healthcare career as early as high school. It appeared in the April/May 2016 edition of OurHealth magazine’s Charlottesville and Shenandoah Valley edition, and focused on building a foundation for success and making high school curriculum count.
